Every Journey Begins With Questions

Here are answers to some of the most common questions — so you can focus on the joy of discovery.

Frequently Asked Questions

You've got questions — I've got thoughtful answers. Whether you're curious about what's included, how much walking is involved, or if you need to speak French, this page will guide you through the essentials so you can focus on the joy of travel.

What is included in your experiences?

Guiding, itinerary design, in-country transportation, lodging, and many entry fees are included. Meals and airport transfers are not typically included unless noted. Specific inclusions vary by trip and will be clearly outlined when you book.

How large are the groups?

I keep groups intentionally small — typically between 4 and 8 travelers — to allow for flexibility, connection, and a more personal journey.

How much walking is involved?

Expect daily walking, sometimes on cobblestones, hills, or uneven paths. The pace is always manageable and adapted to the group when needed.

Do you handle flights?

Flights are not included in most packages. However, I can offer guidance or assist you with booking recommendations if needed.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations are handled with fairness and transparency. Full details are outlined in your booking agreement.

Do I need to speak a foreign language?

Not at all. I guide in English and will provide helpful cultural tips and key vocabulary. When needed, I’ll gladly speak French on your behalf.

What makes your trips different?

I focus on calm, immersive experiences that support local communities, highlight hidden gems, and avoid over-tourism. Every journey is rooted in connection and intention.

Do you only offer trips in France?

While France is my specialty, I also design experiences in Switzerland, the UK, and other select European destinations. I love pairing France with nearby regions or exploring a new place together.

How far in advance should I book?

Booking early — especially for summer or the Christmas season — ensures access to the best lodging and experiences. 6-12 months ahead is ideal.

Do you offer private or custom trips?

Yes! I love designing fully custom journeys for couples, families, and small groups tailored to your interests, travel style, and pace.

Do you organize study abroad or student group trips?

Absolutely. I’ve led immersive, educational trips across France and Europe for over a decade. Programs are designed to be hands-on, experiential, and deeply connected to place.

What are the payment options and deposits?

Most trips require a deposit to secure your spot, with the balance due before departure. I accept common online payment methods.

Do I need travel insurance?

While not required, I strongly recommend it. Insurance offers peace of mind for unexpected events like illness, cancellations, or lost baggage.
